To check Hard Drive speed

# /sbin/hdparm -Tt /dev/hda /dev/hda1
where ‘a’ and ‘a1′ are the drive letters you want to test
Note:- You will have to install hdparm first to check the Hard Drive speed

#apt-get install hdparm
