Restoring IE6 from IE7

If you are running XP and you have upgraded your IE6 browser to IE7 and want to restore back IE6

Follow the following steps:-

-> Go to control panel and select option Add or Remove Programs
-> Click the option show updates
-> Remove IE7 updates and then IE7
-> Then check your desktop you will have IE6 browser on your system

  1. Hey can i run both IE 6 and IE 7 on my machine ? is there anyway to do it ? or i have to use different machines ?

  2. Hi anish i got a solution for running IE6 and IE7 on a single machine but you will have to do some hard work for this.
    You can have IE6 and IE7 on the same machine by downloading a free virtual image of windows XP with IE6. Microsoft virtual PC is free virtualization sofware that allow you to run multiple OS (Windows, Linux, Unix) while in XP. This is a great option for cross-browser testing.

    You can install Multiple IEs on a single PC simultaneously.
    Download this: http://tredosoft.com/files/multi-ie/multiple-ie-setup.exe
    and use registry entries for manually install of future IEs like IE8 and further.
