Resin on 64bit Operating System

Filed under: Linux Tips & Tricks — Kunal Jain @ 13:00

I am in doubts whether resin 3.1.x work on 64bit Operating system, so what i do. I just mail the resin helpdesk and got the reply back in couple of hours saying

Yes, Resin 3.1.x is worked on 64bit Operating system with little changes and they send me the detail regarding the installation and configuration which i am sharing with you.

Resin 3.1.x

./configure --enable-64bit; make; make install;
and add a <jvm-arg>-d64</jvm-arg> in resin.con

Resin 3.0.x

./configure --enable-64bit; make; make install;

for 3.0.x there is no <jvm-arg> in resin.conf. For 3.0.x pass it on the command line

$bin/httpd.sh -J-d64

And it works like a champ. Hatsoff to the resin helpdesk who helped me a lot.
